With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Gary Sutherland holds the prestigious designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), a title earned by only 2% of all insurance brokers, along with certification as a Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS).

Gary is the founder of McGowan Professional, where he oversees the operations and direction of all offices with unmatched generosity and attention to detail. His diverse background is invaluable in the service he provides to professionals. Throughout his career, Gary has owned a property management company, been a licensed property assessor, and served as the National Sales Manager overseeing three national professional liability programs targeting accountants, attorneys, and real estate professionals.

Outside of work , Gary is married to Patrice and is the proud father of three grown children and four grandchildren. In his free time, Gary enjoys researching family history and genealogy.

John Raspante is the Director of Risk Management at McGowan Professional, where he oversees industry-specific expertise and risk management for the firm’s accounting and financial clients. Prior to joining McGowan Professional, John served as the Director of Compliance and Risk Management, as well as the Director of Education for Graf Repetti & Co. LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Business Advisors. He also spent nine years with CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company, a provider of accountants' professional liability insurance, where his primary responsibility was providing loss prevention services to the organization’s largest insured clients.

John continues to apply his expertise in mitigating risk for accounting firms at McGowan Professional.  He is a frequent speaker on topics related to risk management and professional ethics within the accounting profession. He regularly presents at conferences for accounting firm associations and CPA State Societies and has contributed to several accounting firm periodicals, including Journal of Accountancy and Accounting Today.

Rob Ferrini is the Cyber Liability Program Manager at McGowan Professional and also works as a retail broker, specializing in helping accounting firms secure the right insurance products to minimize their exposure and risk. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rob has previously served as an accountant’s professional liability underwriter at McGowan Professional.

In addition to his insurance expertise, Rob has a diverse background, having owned and operated several small businesses in both retail and service industries. He is also actively involved in his community, serving on the boards of local non-profit organizations such as the Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Norwood Ecumenical Food Bank.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys traveling with his wife, Eileen, and spending quality time with their four grandchildren and their sheepadoodle, Winnie.

Stephen Vono is a founding partner of McGowan Professional, specializing in Accountants' Professional Liability Insurance. Stephen is actively involved in several leading accounting associations and is a regular presenter at major annual conferences, including AICPA Engage, CPAFMA, MGI World, Allinial Global, and Leading Edge. He currently serves as the Vice President of the CPAFMA North East Chapter and has received their Distinguished Service Presidential Citation for his exceptional support and contributions to the members of CPAFMA.

Stephen has written and published several articles on practice management for accounting firms, contributing to respected publications like Accounting Today and The Journal of Accountancy.

Outside of work, Stephen and his wife, Mary, have one daughter.  Stephen is a music aficionado, and you can always ask him about his impressive vinyl collection!

Dogan Tuncel has nearly 30 years of experience in the professional liability insurance industry, specializing in meeting the needs of accounting and financial professionals. He began his career in professional liability in 1996 and played a pivotal role in launching a successful inside sales force for a nationally recognized carrier.

Currently, Dogan serves as the National Program Manager for McGowan's CPAOnePro Accountants Professional Liability program. In this role, he is responsible for new program development and partner relations, working with hundreds of retail agents and brokers across the country.

In 2023, Dogan was honored as one of Insurance Business America's Top Specialist Wholesale Brokers. He holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Outside of work, Dogan is an avid sports fan and enjoys skiing and traveling with his wife, Bernadette, and their twins.

Michael Gilio serves as the Director of Special Programs at McGowan Professional, bringing over 25 years of experience in Professional Liability and Management Liability Insurance. He holds the prestigious designation of Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), as well as the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB), and Associate in Management (AIM).

Outside of work, Michael is married to Lisa and has two grown children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching baseball.

Michelle is the Director of Underwriting at McGowan Professional Liability, where she leads a 19-person team and manages day-to-day operations, client relationships, and insurer partnerships. She specializes in underwriting compliance and process improvement, and oversees the CPAOnePro Accountants Professional Liability Program.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Michelle joined McGowan Professional in 2007 and has a strong background in professional liability insurance, particularly for accountants, attorneys, and real estate professionals. She holds a Property and Casualty license and is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time camping and antiquing with her granddaughters.
